Thanks to all who helped make this event such a success!
Augustine lost her home when her family didn’t want a litter box in the house while it was on the market. She is generally a quiet cat, but she also loves the chance to play! She dreams of a finding a home with people who love her and finding a lap to sleep on!
|JASPER: Adult male Dachshund/Beagle mix
Jasper is a combination of doxy and beagle (and something pot-bellied looking at his belly!). He has a loving disposition and adores being called a good boy. He gets along with his foster yorkie brother. Jasper enjoys indestructible toys and has a fondness for squeakers and stuffing. He likes receiving affection and also likes to give affection! He’s quite the love-bug!

On October 26, 2016, Chesapeake Cats & Dogs received a phone call from Caroline County Humane Society about a young cat that had been found and was seriously injured. She was initially taken to Dr. Arion. He found a rubber band so tightly wound around her neck that it had cut into her skin deeply. The speculation is that it had been there a while. She is mal-nourished and also had been shot in the eye with a bb gun. The vet cut off the rubber band, cleaned the wound and gave eye medicines needed. Chesapeake Cats & Dogs has placed the cat, now named Faith, in foster care to heal. She will be available for adoption once she is fully healed. Though abused and abandoned, Faith is now safe and on the road to recovery.
Please consider making a donation to support Faith’s recovery. We appreciate your support!

Senior special needs male
Puppy is a senior diabetic sweetheart who is purrfectly delightful! He loves being around people and looks forward to being in a home again, where he can shower his new owners with purrs and cuddles! He also loves to talk and will let you know how much he loves you! Puppy came to CCAD from a local shelter; though diagnosed with diabetes several years ago, his owners could not afford to treat him. He is now receiving insulin and eagerly searching for a home of his own!
|MICKEY: Senior male Beagle/Boston mix
Mickey is a nine year old Beagle/Boston mix who was rescued from a hoarding situation. He has been fully vetted–including a dental–and is a healthy little love bug. At 16 pounds, he could use some good food, a comfortable bed, and lots of attention. He would be happiest as the center of attention, but he gets along with other dogs. Cats are an unknown, but he does need to go to a home without children.
