Cat of the Month: PRINCESS

Princess is a tiny little girl who loves to be petted and prefers to be the center of your attention. She’d be happiest in a home where she could be an “only child”.

Dog of the Month: SIDNEY

Sidney’s adoption fee has been WAIVED, as he’s spent most of the past year in a kennel and we are desperate to find him a home! He’s a young male Rhodesian mix who weighs about 40 pounds. An energetic young dog who wants to find someone to run and play with, he desperately needs a home that will allow him to learn, train him, and understand that he isn’t fond of other dogs and should be an only child.

Please contact us for more information about our June Pets of the Month! Also, please feel free to print and distribute the flyers: Cat of the Month flyer, Dog of the Month flyer.

“Couple turns passion into fundraiser to benefit Chesapeake Cats and Dogs”

For Stevensville couple Don and Kathy Trotter, animals are a real passion and joy in their lives. So, creating the event Mulligans and Mutts to raise funds in support of animal rescue and care came naturally to them.

The Trotters, who have two rescue dogs, understand the financial needs of animal shelters. Don and Kathy Trotter have been involved in animal rescue for many years and have hosted numerous events to benefit homeless companion pets.

“We created the Mulligans and Mutts event with the idea of engaging the local community, individuals and businesses in a fun day of golf and activities in hopes of raising $10,000 to help a local shelter,” said Kathy Trotter.

Cats of the Month: KELLY and OREO! **ADOPTED!**

Kelly (brown tabby and white) and Oreo are a bonded mom-and-son pair who need to find a home together. Oreo is a young adult male cat who loves to play, while Kelly is calmer and prefers to cuddle, though she can be a little shy. They’ve been waiting to go to their forever home together for a long time; while they are happy in our adoption center, they would be happier in their own home.

Please download this flyer to print and distribute to local establishments to help Kelly and Oreo find their forever home!

Dog of the Month: Sport **ADOPTED!**

Sport is a young male Dalmatian & Labrador mix, a high energy monkey dog! He loves to run and cuddle, but doesn’t like other dogs. If you have a little time to put into training Sport, he could become your loyal friend for life!

Please download this flyer to print and distribute to local establishments to help Sport find his forever home!

We also need donations to help pay for our expenses, which include: rent for our cat adoption center, veterinarian bills, food and litter, and cleaning supplies.
